"Where The Wild Things Are" Is Now A Movie

Another Childhood Treasure Stolen.

As a child I loved to read books and imagine the characters, places and things from the story in my mind and then run outside and relive them.

Now kids just sit in front of the DVD player as someone elses' vision of the story is spoon fed to them, thus robbing them of the chance to use their mind to create a fun fantasy world.

To make things worse, instead of running outside, they flip off the DVD player and turn on the game console to play the pathetic video game version of the story. Most of the time it has very little to do with the story other than similar packaging. Which is designed to compliment the story themed happy meal which includes some crappy ass prize as the big story tie-in.

I'm really glad I don't have any McKids®, it's so depressing to think about their safety padded, video supervised, politically corrected, emasculated little, homogenized lives. When the zombie pandemic final sweeps the planet they'll be ill equipt to defend themselves.
